Write out a renewal of your vows and place them in your home. Perhaps if appropriate, you could make arrangements to formally renew your wedding vows before a minister and with family present. Make it a living testament to the value of marriage in God’s eyes and the high honor of being one with your mate.
Well me made it! 40 day love dare! For better, or for worse. I would say for the better. This love dare has helped us enrich something we already had. A deep love for each other. It made us realize our weaknesses, and brought forth a venue to talk about what problems we have. We are still trying to incorporate the Bible in our everyday lives together. Its better for me in the morning when she sleeps in. Its quiet I can concentrate, and reflect without interruptions.
We will keep the books, and redo it again as a refresher course in keeping what we already have. LOVE!
Spend time in personal prayer, then write a letter of commitment and resolve to your spouse.Include why you are committing to this marriage until death, and that you have purposed to love them no matter what.Leave it in a place that your mate will find it.
This is something I have felt from the get go. Even when I have said she needed to go in the heat of an argument. It was the scenario of the argument that lead me to say what I said. At the time I meant every word. When we first started off together, she went off on me and cussed me like a sailor. I disappeared for a few days, and told her that I have never in my live been treated like that, and was going to start to be treated like that now. It does continue now that we are married, but has gotten alot better. I remind her that she is supposed to love me, not be hating on me like that. We always kiss and make up.
That is a big part of what our love is about, forgiveness.
Ask yourself what your mate would they want if it was obtainable.Commit this to prayer, and start mapping out a plan for meeting some (if not all) of their desires, to whatever level you possibly can.
I know she wants to go back to school, and land a good career. I know that I won't live forever and will be dead and gone long before she is, and she will have to be self reliant, unless she finds another. I hop that she does, and in another way I hope she doesn't.
I will be waiting for her in heaven, and I don't want to share. :-)
Ask your spouse if you can begin praying together.Talk about the best time to do this -- whether it’s in the morning, your lunch hour, or before bedtime.Use this time to commit your concerns, disagreements, and needs before the Lord.Don’t forget to thank Him for His provision and blessing.Even if your spouse refuses to do this, resolve to spend this daily time in prayer yourself.
We agreed to pray together when we could. I recommended to read the Bible, and reflect from the same reading, she wanted to do it separate books.
Its doesn't matter we can discuss what the reading means to each other, and how its applied to everyday life today.
Commit to reading the Bible every day. Find a devotional book or other resource that will give you some guidance. If your spouse is open to it, see if they will commit to daily Bible reading with you. Begin submitting each area of your life to its guidance and start building on the rock.
Heather is alot better about reading most everyday than I am. When I work I do pick up a pocket bible, and read. I need to start reading it religiously (no pun intended) every day.
We have the couple's bible study and need to get back to it.
We both need God's help in so many ways. Finances, personal things I won't bring up here. I know God only puts on us what he know what we can handle. Sometimes I think its too much. But I look around and thank God that I have it as good as I do. He has blessed me with many great things, and I am thankful. Happiness, is a state of mind.
If you can't find happiness within what God has given you, its your own fault. Happiness is there, you need to make the best of what makes you happy.
Find a marriage mentor – someone who is a strong Christian and who will be honest and loving with you. If you feel that counseling is needed, then take the first step to set up an appointment. During this process, ask God to direct your decisions and discernment.
I would say when I ask someone for advice the person who I take heed to is my next door neighbor Bob. He doesn't choose sides, and gives me solid advice.
I don't think we need a marriage counselor. We do work things out between us.
Lately her needs have become more demanding and vocal. Asking me to cut back on something that I only do 6 days out of the month. We both knows what need to happen on 4 of those days, which are weekends.
I know she wants more us time, and we have to utilize what time we have together during the week. She knows I love her. I don't have to prove it, but show her I do often.
If she gets this job its going to be hectic.
She has been sick all week, and I haven't been real patient with her. I'm not a good nurse maid, especially when its an adult. Why I'm that way, I don't know?
I did the dishes all week, and her laundry, and waited on her hand and foot. Its the little things that. I'm happy she is feeling a little better.
You can never win an argument with someone who always thinks they are right.
So, stay tuned, for the next episode.
This love dare I accepted to make me a better person through Christ, for me, and for, and with My Bride.
I am so confused now, that I get an ultimatum to give up a hobby that I have loved doing for 35 years.
Playing Music.
I don't do ultimatums, so you have to do what you think you need to do.
The Choices are simple.
1 - Accept me for who I am, and have been all my life. You are not going to change me now.
2 - Pack your things and leave.
I feel like by her doing that she has driven a wedge between us. I feel so distant.
I do love her. I won't live with a dark cloud over my head. If thats how she feels about my only hobby that I have, loved, and done as long as I have, I don't know what to do. I am not giving it up. I am numb about it. In shock, wanting to not be around her. I am sad, angry, and hurt that she would drive that wedge between us.
Now for her to say she'll stay home, and hook up with another guy on the internet while I am out playing is even more hurtful to me. Why does she have to be that way? Makes that wedge even larger.
The Jack Daniels has been a problem for sometime. If another drop hits her mouth, its over.
Thats the way I feel, she can't control it. I don't want any part of it.
3./25/2011
You can always tell when we have a fight and depending on what happened, how I reacted reflects deeply on my mood, and this blog. Its my vent but I don't publish it for people to see.
I cannot forget her calling another mans name in a passionate moment. This makes me feel like I am second choice. She knows she is free to pursue him if she wants to. |I have invited her to do so if she loves him.
I am still deeply hurt by this. She was too drunk to remember and doubts it.
I wouldn't lie about it. Its a decision she have to make, and convince me its was a subconscious drunken error. They say the truth come out when you are drunk. Thats why it hurts, because I think she was telling her true feelings, and not just running off at the top of her head because she was drunk.
I should have blown up then. But I didn't, it had been a decent night except she had too much to drink.
I will get over all this, and forget about it. It hurt me when she said that, I am praying that to God that he helps me let this issue go.
Find a specific, recent example when your spouse demonstrated Christian character in a noticeable way.Verbally commend them for this at some point today.
Heather, moreso than I really studies her Bible, and I think she does it everyday.
I can tell changes in her where she shows love to everyone, even strangers.
I worry sometimes that men will take the smile as something as an interest in them.
Sorry fellas. She is mine. Ya see we love each other, and if you spend any time with us, you will see that our love is genuine. Its something we worked on as friends first.
We didn't HAVE to get married, we wanted to because we were in LOVE.
Heather is a very loving person. She has a short temper, but it has gotten alot better.
The temper is part of her, she is spunky, and I think that temperament has kept people from walking all over because she is short, and looks way younger than she is.
As time goes by she is growing and yearning to be the perfect Christian women.
I love her imperfections and all, and it excites me to see what she is becoming.
Is there a “leaving” issue you haven’t been brave enough to conquer yet? Confess it to your spouse today, and resolve to make it right. The oneness of your marriage is dependent upon it. Follow this with a commitment to your spouse and to God to make your marriage the top priority over every other human relationship.
I would say that, our cutting the cord issues really don't exist. Heather does talk to her parents everyday. There are some things she shouldn't be saying.
She is the perfect daughter to them. They see her happy and content with her marriage. A few bumps here and there, that they stay out of to let US work things out.
I think they love me as well, I think that I could NOT ask for a better set of inlaws.
They are caring and loving.
I on the other hand, should talk to my mother, and go help her more often.
She is 83, and won't be around forever, and I should see her as much as I can.
I love my mother, she is a wonderful person. Always caring, loving and giving.
The kind of person I have always wanted to be. I am alot like her in many ways.
She doesn't always speak her mind on family issues. She worries constantly about me because of my late nights playing music, thinking I don't get enough rest. No problem there. Ha ha.
Recognize that your spouse is integral to your future success.Let them know today that you desire to include them in your upcoming decisions, and that you need their perspective and counsel. If you have ignored their input in the past, admit your oversight and ask them to forgive you.
She tells me things sometimes, that I don't totally ignore. I try to incorporate her ideas with mine. Sometimes neither of us are right, and that means communication on things are in order. Like in earlier mentioning of our love dare blogs. Neither of us are perfect.
We are doing better in all areas because of this. We are talking about things that we never did before. In a way it opened our minds, and hearts to what we needed to do, and say.
If at all possible, try to initiate sex with your husband or wife today.Do this in a way that honors what your spouse has told you (or implied to you) about what they need from you sexually.Ask God to make this enjoyable for both of you as well as a path to greater intimacy.
Without going to personal business. We both equally initiate sex. I sometimes won't because I am tired from work, among other reasons. Not making excuses for myself.
Its just the way it is sometimes. I should accommodate her anytime she is in the mood.
I will try harder to find the energy to tend to her sexual wants, and needs.
Our Love dare sex, lets say love making, was tremendous. It usually is.
Isolate one area of division inyour marriage, and look on today as a fresh opportunity to pray about it.Ask the Lord to reveal anything in your own heart that is threatening oneness with your spouse.Pray that He would do the same for them. And if appropriate, discuss this matter openly, seeking God for unity.
I hate falling behind on blogging about this. When I rush to get it done I have less to say about our life together. Work, busy schedules. I can tell the love dare is helping us.
I need to devote more time to it.
I pray that I can be the husband she prays to God for.
I pray to be the husband Gods wants me to be for her.
Kinda of the same prayer? Yes and No.
I pray that as a person God will steer me in the right direction, and keeps me from
being unconcerned of her needs. I washed clothes yesterday, and it didn't enter my mind that I should have something else with her till the end of the day. After I did my own laundry. He clothes in the dryer had mostly towels. I folded and put them up, as I went to do something with her clothes, and asked for hangars, she said leave them I'll get them tomorrow. As I look at them sitting on the couch, I will do them unannounced, as we are expecting company tonight. God help me with the chores, and help me help her.
Its best that I get them done early so I am rested when the guests arrive.
Before you see your spouse again today, pray for them by name and for their needs.Whether it comes easy for you or not, say “I love you,” then express love to them in some tangible way.Go to God in prayers again, thanking Him for giving you the privilege of loving this one special person – unconditionally, the way He loves both of you.
I pray for her every day. I am seeing how God is helping her be the person God wants her to be. I am very proud of her.
I give her tangible love everyday. I love how soft her skin is, I love the smell of her hair.
How much of your mate's stress is caused by your lack of concern or initiative? When did you expressed desire to help, how did they receive it? Are there other needs you could meet?
Sometime my lackadaisical approach may come over as unconcerned, Its one of my downfalls.
I listen and I hear her, but its my fault that I don't see the urgency in situations like she does.
I will try to make her concerns a priority over what I think should or should not be.
Eliminate the poison of unrealistic expectations in your home. Think of one area where your spouse has told you you’re expecting too much, and tell them you’re sorry for being so hard on them about it. Promise them you’ll seek to understand, and assure them of your unconditional love.
I am always reminding Heather about her chores. I'm just trying to get her to see things that need to be done, because its her stuff, and it shouldn't get to the point where I have to say something. I do help her from time to time. I'm not going to do it for her all the time. I'm not expecting too much. I feel that since she doesn't have a "job", that its her responsibility to keep the house clean, neat and orderly. I do my part and help out. I try not to demand that she do anything, I make suggestions. I'm sorry if she feels I am being too hard on her about it. I have alot to do out side, on the house, on the yard, and to the vehicles. Maybe she will help me?
A real heart of repentance may take a while to grow in you. Pride is very resistant to responsibility, but humility and honesty before God and your spouse is crucial for a healthy relationship.
This doesn’t mean you’re always wrong and your spouse is always right. This is not a demand that you become a doormat. But if there is something that’s not right between you and God, or you and your spouse, then that should be the first priority.
Forgiveness.
I consider my self very forgiving. In our preachers message Weds, he read scripture and preached on forgiveness, love, jealousy, lies, stealing, and anger.
I have been guilty of being so angry, that I had thoughts of violence.
I have bouts of jealousy that was crazy. Never again.
Lies, we all lie at one time or another. I have vowed to be honest and credible as anyone can.
If you choose to doubt, I find no reason to have to prove myself. Not worth the energy to argue.
I turn it over to God. I find inner peace. I find myself to be a calmer person, and it effects the way that other people around you to react to situations.
I choose to forgive, and to not bring the offense up at a later date.
If a person can't be trusted, the person must be turned away abruptly, and sternly, without anger.
Its best to avoid the thing or person that makes you angry.
In closing I pray that all the unrest in the world be restored, and that all of God's children, no matter their race, or nationality can be at peace with each other through God.
Not this I misinterpreted the subject but I never felt like a wanted an inanimate object so bad that, that I lusted for it. There are somethings I would like to have, but haven't the money. One day I will get what I am wanting because the equipment I am using is wearing out. I always related lust as in a sexual manner.
In the Bible it does discuss lusting after worldly goods, and money.
As My wife and I discussed this, We discussed Adam, and Eve's lust for the forbidden fruit. There is no other humans in the Garden of Eden until they bore children. Because of Eve's lust for the forbidden fruit, she was tapped by god to bear children. She seems to want to believe that the forbidden fruit was a man.
We all say that children are a blessing and that is what we are supposed to do.
Go forth, and multiply.
We both agreed that childbearing was a punishment to Eve, for her sin. But having children is something God wants in all marriages. We have chosen to not have any because I am older, and I have children.
I love children, and would love to have another, but it would have to be adoption, I can't see leaving Heather with a child with out a father, (as I know I will pass on before she will) Heather could not handle childbirth, it would kill her. The again, I would hate for her to have to raise it on her own.
Lust ruins many a relationship, and have been accused of looking at a woman to much, when I wasn't, and had a hard time convincing otherwise. I am at the age where I can admire a beautiful woman without staring or lusting after her. I'll say that I have been blessed by God with that attribute.
My beautiful bride has nothing to worry about. This is my last stop.
If we are to go our separate ways, I will not have to find another wife. Probably not even a steady girlfriend.
I don't want another. There will never be another...NEVER. So its going to work the best way I know how.
I pray to God she feels the same way.
Something happened last night that I am not angry about, because of her condition.
I'm not sure what she was thinking at the time, but was quite intoxicated.
It was startling, a bit upsetting. I told her about the episode and she has no memory of it.
What does that tell one?
Time to evaluate consumption, as to what is moderation?
She said we already completed it but I knew that I hadn't blogged on it yet.
Dummy.
Its funny how in sync we have been on the love dare. I know she thinks I am reading ahead, but I am not.
I guess God is guiding me day by day to be the person I should be, daily my life seems to be falling into place with the dare. But yet, I am far from perfect, and still a sinner.
I can tell the difference in myself, I still suffer bouts of depression.
I catch myself cussing. I try not to.
Ready to give it God and let him handle it.
Greedy lazy lawyers, want the money then don't get in a hurry for nothing.
Don't really care anything about me or my life, just show them the money.
God will deal with you one day.
God bless My Beautiful Bride and I on our journey to your way of how our life should be.
Its not easy, trying to be like your only begotten son Jesus. Its easy to talk the talk, I pray that you will guide us to walk the walk.
AMEN.
Today's Dare ::: Remove anything that is hindering your relationship, any addiction or influence that is stealing your affections and turning your heart away from your spouse. Unfortunately your marriage has enemies! Yes, enemies. You need to protect yourself and your marriage from those enemies!
They come in forms of many shapes and sizes and use different strategies, but nonetheless they still conspire to destroy your marriage, unless you know how to ward them off and protect them. They are, harmful influences, unhealthy relationships, shame, parasites, addictions.
Heather will be the first to say its my music. I'm sorry but that is not an addiction or an influence.
Its a God given talent, and I still don't practice near enough. You don't get any better if you don't practice.
So far as the gigs go, yeah it does take some off time from us. Plus after that kind of weekend we sleep all day Saturday, and Sunday recovering. If we removed one element, we wouldn't have to "recover".
I'd rather give up drinking, before I gave up any music.
Just a few weeks ago I made the statement about personal time and space. I don't get any.
I get quiet time in the morning when she sleeps in. I am quiet so I don't wake her.
I guess I should go to the studio and practice with head phone while she sleeps.
Then I could kill two birds with one stone. Personal time, and practice.
In retrospect, Our relation hip is not bad in comparison to others.
Thinking about our problems it may seem serious. Any problems in a relationship can be, its all on how you react to it, to one another, and how you treat one another, but all in all its mole hill vs a mound.
I'm sure she thinks its bad, where I think its not so bad.
I feel like I am being pressure into doing something I don't want to do. Stop playing music.
She says Oh no you don't have to stop when she is really saying the opposite.
She gives up something I thought she loved doing...365 challenge, expecting me to do the same.
I'll give up something, I'm not perfect. I need to quit smoking something serious.
I drink, but I don't have a problem with it. I think me remaining calm has helped alot. I am happy she is working on her temper. She has a ways to go with being patient. I think she learned something today about how to remain calm when you really want to go off.
She did good.
It would be best if we both quit smoking, and drinking. Man could we save a pile of money.
Paris France here we come?
About letting the other win? Ummm if you wrong you are wrong, the loser should always concede.
If you are not sure about the accuracy of your knowledge, or you really don't know, there shouldn't be an argument. That what the internet is for. Instead of arguing, go to the internet get the facts. LOL!
Be intentional today about making time to pray and read your Bible. Try reading a chapter out of Proverbs each day (there are 31 a months supply., or reading a chapter in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)
As you do, immerse yourself in the love and promises God has for you. This will add to your growth as you walk with HIM.
How do you think spending time daily with God will change you situation and perspective? How can you make HIM a bigger part of your day?
As this Love Dare goes from getting yourself closer to your spouse, it is now checking your own love for God.
I should spend more time in my Bible. I know that only God can do things no one or nothing else can do.
As I reflect on this today, I will post an update...
Dare to take God at HIS word, dare to trust Jesus Christ for salvation. Dare to pray "Lord Jesus, I'm a sinner. But you have shown your love for me by dying to forgive my sins, and you have proven your power to save me from death by your resurrection. Lord change my heart, and save me by your grace."
Write about what this experience has been like for you. Even if you are only renewing your commitment to recieve and express HIS love, what has HE shown you today.
I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He died for our sins, and was resurrected so that we can live.
Everyday I try to express his love through my actions.
I am not perfect, I should never talk negative about anyone or anything that is of his creation.
I may dislike somebody or something but, I pray to HIM to allow me to love them as I would myself.
I pray that HE help and guide us, and my adversaries through all our problems and allow them to be resolved in a favorable manner. If it is his will to allow me to fail, I tried, and I should keep my head up, as well as my faith in HIM. These things happen, and I hope that its not too far gone for resolution.
Look back over the dares from previous days.
Where there some that seemed impossible to you?
Have you realized your need for God to change your heart, and to give you the ability to love?
Ask HIM to show you where you stand with HIM, and ask for the strength and grace to settle your eternal destination.
What do you believe God is saying to you?
Is there stirring in your heart?
What decision have you made in response to this?
The previous dares made me realize the love I have always had for my wife.
I know she feels "second chair" because of my jobs.
I try to make money to keep this household going, but in this day and time its never enough.
I feel like I am a failure.
I know that God only dishes out what you can handle, but I pray that things would get better.
They do get better for a while, then it seems to get worse due to irresponsibility, or inattentiveness.
Finances are important to me and I should take better care of them.
I'm sorry that I worry about these things. I have to.
God says to not worry, but I am the one that has to fix it by making money, and cut costs somewhere along the way. God isn't going to reach down and hand be a bunch of money to fix finances.
I am praying about my "second job" which is my hobby. It is hard work, and it does draw me away from Church, and time lost with my beautiful bride, and she isn't happy about either.
I pray that God will guide me to make this easier for me, help me change things to make it to Church, and let me be able to spend more time with her.
My "second job" is a supposed to be a stress reliever, sometimes it creates more stress that it is worth.
It is still my outlet, and something I enjoy doing. It bothers me that she wants me to give it up.
Without that outlet I would go crazy.
I should consider doing my "second job", or "hobby" in praise, and worship.
There are people that get paid for that. I'm not concerned with the pay, because God would pay me in three fold for doing that in his praise.
I pray that I could work normal hours at work, but that hasn't came around to my favor yet.
If that would come to be, I would start doing praise, and worship, and give up my second job.
I know God steers me. I don't always make the best decisions.
I should take more care in that aspect.
In closing, my destination, I am certain of, its my love of God, and doing what he wants to me to do.
I try to make his love to shine through me for everyone to see.
Even though some Christians may see things I do, as a sinner would do.
I am not perfect, I am work in progress. Pray for me that I do his will, let him guide me through the trying times, and be the person HE wants me to be.
Prepare a special diner at home, just for the two of you. The dinner can be as nice as you prefer. Focus this time
on getting to know your spouse better, perhaps in areas you've rarely talked about.
Determine to make it an enjoyable evening for you and your mate.
What did you learn about your spouse that you didn't know before?
How could you continue this process of discovery in other ways, at other times.
What were some of the moments that made this evening memorable?
I prepared the dinner, it was something she didn't want at that time, and it made me feel like I wasted my efforts.
She apologized for he mood, and salvaged the dinner.
Since I had to "work" my second job, the time was limited to an extent, but we had plenty of time to enjoy our dinner and talk. I want to thing I know my beautiful bride completely, I don't always understand some things she does, and thinks. But I still love her just the same.
Sometime when I get angry with her, I feel I can't tell her without creating a fight, by saying sorry baby, that not right, so I let her rock on. Then when she finds out that I was right its like why didn't you tell me?
Damned if I do, damned if I don't.
I know I am not always right. If I am wrong I will so say so.
If I don't know, I will find out what is right, not to prove her wrong because I feel that is demeaning to her, and insulted her intelligence.
I have done it in the past, and I didn't like the vibe between us.
I would like to figure it out together, instead of creating an argument, and then saying you were right, why did I doubt you?
Love should always be like that...never doubt their love, and devotion to you.
Determine to guard your mate's secrets (unless they are dangerous to them or you) and to pray for them.
Talk with your spouse, resolve to demonstrate love in spite of these issues. Really listen to them when they share
personal thoughts and struggles with you. Make them feel safe.
How much of an effort is it for you to hold back from saying something critical or otherwise?
What have you learned about your spouse today, simply from listening?
I have not been critical to her, because she is really trying to please me.
Her secrets of past things she has done I have never harped on said anything negative to her about.
I listen to her when she tells me these secrets. Her personal thoughts, and struggles are minor, and just because they are that, I do not ignore them. I give words of encouragement, and tell her that its is not as bad as it seems. There is nothing that bad, to make a huge issue over. Relax, assess the situation, and take action.
Thats my theory, and approach, and generally handled in a calm manner the situation is resolved.
I hate it when things remain unresolved. It makes you worry, and I am trying to eliminate worry from my life entirely.
I love my beautiful bride dearly, unconditionally, and with all my heart. I know that she knows that.
It breaks my heart when I am accused of doing things that aren't right. I am saved, and she needs to realize that I will always be in her corner.
I may not encourage her enough, and I know she feel slighted that I don't do that enough.
I sometime feel that I am wasting her life, by being so much older than she is.
I sometimes want her to go find somebody her age, be happy, and have children.
I love her that much that I would want her to do that. She sometimes so unhappy with me that, I feel that would be best for her. I try my best to make her happy but it seems that one little unhappy thought ruins all the good things I do for her. I am not talking about things I buy fo her, I can't buy her love.
I do unselfish things, that I put her needs before my own, and set my needs aside for another day.
I do the things she doesn't like to do, even those things are little things, I don't mind doing them.
The dare has made me cherish her sweet caring nature, and her undying, unconditional love for me.
I thank God for her every day.
Begin praying today for your spouses heart.
Pray for three specific areas where you desire God to work in your spouse's life and in your marriage.
Have you experienced the power of prayer in the past?
What did you choose to pray about?
Was it easy, or did it feel foreign to you?
I pray for my wife everyday. To let her be the person God wants her to be.
I pray for our marriage, that its everything that it should be in God's eyes.
I pray that she has the confidence in me to lead us in the right direction, on all aspects of our lives.
I know what needs to be done, I know that I cannot change her, just attempt to show, and teach her.
I pray that she will happily listen, and follow my in joy knowing that in time, there is nothing we can't do as a team. Its not about having extra money to spend. Its about having, and making time to spend together.
Choose a way to show honor and respect to your spousethat is above and beyond your normal routine.
It may be holding the door open for her. it might be putting their clothes away.
It may be the way you listen and speak.
Show your mate that they are highly esteemed in your eyes.
How did you choose to show honor?
What was the result?
What are some other ways you could demonstrate honor in the coming days?
I always try to help her out with things around the house.
I took her to the Dr. Held the doors for her let her walk out of the elevator first, that I always do.
Finished Moms lawn, then got her prescriptions filled.
In the coming days, I know she isn't feeling well, and I'll try to help in anyway I can.
Purposely neglect an activity you would normally do so you can spend quality time with your spouse.
Do something they would love to door a project.
They'd really like to work on.
Just be together.
What did you decide to give up?
What did you do together?
What new thing did you learn (or relearn) about your spouse?
It rained and my activity was supposed to go do my mothers yard.
I postponed it a day. We napped while it was raining, she didn't object since she has been sick.
Later that night we went to dinner and a movie. The movie wasn't the best in the world.
It was she and I in the theater, we could have fooled around, but we did the adult thing. Watched the movie. The theater next to us was soooo loud it was annoying. We complained about it.
I'll be glad when she gets her voice back. Communicating has been a chore.
I hope she gets better soon, I suck at being a nurse maid.
